SAS 4: Zombie Assault is a very fun arcade shooter. While this is fun in the beginning, it is best enjoyed in small doses. There are a lot of different levels you go through with varying objectives, but at its core you are just going from one room to another killing a couple waves of zombies. The game can also be a little repetitive. While playing with new people is fun, it doesn't give you the same experience as playing with someone you know. The match making system randomly pairs you up with someone. In the Co-op mode there is no way to pair up with a friend.
You can also buy and upgrade your characters weapons, armors, and skills. The levels are teeming with cash and loot to pick up along the way as well. There are regular zombies, but also those that spit acid at you, ones that have shields, and many more. There are also different kinds of zombies to help switch things up. Each character has different abilities to help switch up gameplay, as well. There are three different characters to choose from: the Assault, Medic, and Heavy. The game is similar to Smash TV, another top down shooter, and like Smash TV, you've got co-op and multiplayer modes that allow you to team up with a random person online. You can move or shoot in any direction and at the same time. The game is controlled with the analog sticks on-screen and this controls your movement and shooting. You are a Special Forces agent progressing through various levels blasting zombies and saving survivors along the way. SAS 4: Zombie Assault places you right in the middle of the zombie outbreak. In, SAS 4: Zombie Assault, you're doing just that - and lots of it. They're all over the media and people just can't get enough of blasting them to pieces. Killing Zombies have become many people's favorite pastime recently.
